Smokehouse Glenn brought in two cuts of other than prime choices of beef but don’t let that fool ya. These two cuts of beef are both still tasty portions from the beef platter, just look at those photos!!!
Ball Tip and Eye of Round steaks are from the sirloin section of the cow more toward the bottom sirloin area. Both cuts are very lean, containing no marbling of in grained fat to naturally tenderize the meat itself.
Both these cuts can be used for small personal inexpensive portions. They can also be sliced thinly for stir-fry use, braising or stewing. They would also work well in burritos. Either one are both economical cuts of beef that have great meal applications for dinner planning. After tasting both of these, they are going on my list to buy when I’m looking for beef to place in my wok for my next stir fry dish!!!!
